Elijah has no fear of water. NONE. He loves water. He loves swimming, going under the water, jumping in, walking in, getting thrown in and well…basically just being in the water!
He has learned to swim with his life jacket on and is learning more and more all the time!
Here are some pictures that my friend took.
Moriah stays pretty close to Mommy. She does enjoy swimming somewhat, but she also enjoys staying out and watching. She has learned to tread water with her life jacket on, but would much prefer not to wear it.

Cars! Cars! Cars!!

Elijah turned four this month! FOUR! Wow! I can hardly believe it! It seems like just yesterday that he turned three!
One of his favorite things to do right now is play with cars…he used to want to watch the CARS movie every day of the week and then it turned into Mater’s Tall Tales, and now, well, now he reenacts them! He’s memorized the lines from the movies and has quite a few of the cars and can pretty much reenact them! Mommy and Daddy, Nana and Grumpa (Len’s Mom and Step-Dad) encourage Eli’s cars craze and continue to buy them for him. He’s just so darn cute!
From the reenactments, it trails to let his great big imagination shine through! What an amazing imagination he has too! One minute he’s Rescue Squad Mater rescuing McQueen from a burning building and the next he’s flying though the air shooting lasers at the bad guys. The his dinosaur will destroy Radiator Springs and hold McQueen hostage until Mater comes to his rescue with the help of Doc! Or sometimes Sally tells knock knock jokes and sometimes they just race!
I love to just sit back and watch him play! My coffee table has become a cars table, but that’s ok with me! I don’t drink coffee anyway!!

Well its been a while since I last blogged. So much has been going on that I simply just haven’t taken the time….oh yeah and I blog was broken for quite a while before it got around to fixing itself (I imagine someone did it, but it wasn’t me!)!
So now, here we are in spring, looking towards summer…the garden is planted. I’m so thrilled about this!! I do still have some plants to put in somewhere in the backyard, but hopefully that will be done today!
This weekend we are having our first yard sale! I’m so excited! I have everything ready a day early!! Whoo hoo!! It will be held at a friend’s house in Carthage, since our road is traveled at to high a speed for a great turnout…Anyway….I sure do hope we make some good money! It will all go towards our summer fun!
This weekend is also Elijah’s 4th birthday!! My oh my, where did the time go?! Moriah is 2 1/2! They are so much fun at this age! I wouldn’t trade a minute of it…well…maybe a few…:)
So there’s the update! I’ll try to get back to blogging!!

Elijah turned three a few weekends back. It seems absolutely crazy to think of this very adorable little boy being three years old already! It seems like just yesterday when I was admitted the hospital to have him.
Elijah, our dear first born is a sweet boy. He loves people (except for when he’s grumpy) and is quite energetic at times. He quietly observes when he is out of his element and he often enjoys being the one in charge.
He is potty trained except for at night and loves to pee outside. 
He loves all things CARS (the movie) and most things boys like. You know like cars, planes, trains, helicopters, boats…He can usually be found with a car in his hand.
From my womb he loved music. He has a piano (keyboard), drum, and several guitars. Guitar is by far his favorite. He also loves, and I do mean LOVES to sing. Mommy and Daddy love to listen.
He enjoys helping (not always helping) Mommy and Aunt Sarah in the garden and LOVES helping mommy make pizza, cake, anything he can actually help with in the kitchen!
His favorite food is chicken nuggets. His favorite vegetable is carrots. He loves bananas, bread and peanut butter, and his favorite snack is fruties (Fruit Snacks). He hates pasta! He is at times a very picky eater.
Elijah and Daddy love to play fight together, which usually entails Daddy getting beat up and Elijah getting thrown in the air and caught. Lots of giggles, lots of smiles and very fun to watch.
He LOVES going to Sunday School and wants to go to church most days of the week. He gets mad when we don’t take him on Tuesday. LOL! He’s still a cuddler and often we wake up with him between us!
He’s a sweet, sweet boy and I am proud to call him mine! Can’t you tell by all the bragging?!

I made these at cake decorating class last week. So fun and SUPER cute!
Elijah loved them so much that we made him his own little clown cake!
Can you tell he put his own sprinkles on? He LOVES sprinkles!!!
Eli’s Rainbow Cake

This is my first cake! Of course, since Elijah is two they are all “Eli’s cakes” He loves to eat the frosting!! This one was a lot of fun to make!! This week for class we will be making clowns. So exciting!!
Spring is in the air!!

So we went outside today to enjoy it! This was the first time since she can walk that Moriah has been outside to play!! The snow was so high and it was so cold around here that it wasn’t wise to take her out before today! She LOVED it! She’s a little daredevil though and I quickly found the swing and put her in it so she didn’t get hurt on the ice! She giggled loudly with each swoosh of the swing. It was very amusing!!
She loved watching her big brother too!! Elijah hasn’t had nearly as much outdoor play as he would like. He is all boy and would be outside 24/7 if weather and Mommy would allow! This morning he REALLY enjoyed himself! Last fall he was still a bit too small for a “big boy” swing, but this year he’s getting a little more brave with it…just don’t push him to high!!
He also enjoyed his slide! He has a small little tikes slide inside this winter, but nothing beats a “big” slide!! He can climb it all by himself now without scaring mommy and he LOVED it! He screamed WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!
Mommy couldn’t help but smile at them! They’re just so darn cute! We had a great time outside!!
So until all of this melts out of the yard and fields…
We are THRILLED with 49 degrees!!!
